From October 13th to 15th, over 300 camping and outdoor tourism professionals will gather in Baiona (Pontevedra) to share experiences, analyze the sector's evolution, and address some of its key challenges.
The Spanish camping industry has a date in Galicia this October. The Spanish Camping Federation (FEEC) is hosting a new edition of the Spanish Camping Congress, one of the primary meeting points for owners, operators, suppliers, and other professionals linked to the sector.
Over three days, attendees will be able to exchange experiences and gain different perspectives on the changes taking place in outdoor tourism. The program will combine presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions with activities designed to explore the local area and continue building connections in a more relaxed setting.
Program highlights
Following the welcome dinner on Tuesday the 13th, Wednesday the 14th will feature the Congress's main presentations and sessions.
10:45 AM · Urban planning, licensing, and legal security
Almudena de la Fuente, a lawyer for the FEEC, will address some of the sector's main regulatory issues: from mobile home installation permits to urban planning challenges, common pitfalls, and the legal framework.
11:15 AM · Exhibitor presentations
23 exhibitors will each have two minutes to present new products, solutions, and trends related to camping.
3:30 PM · Green Spain: tourism success and future challenges
A panel discussion focused on campsites in the north and some of the challenges affecting these destinations, such as climate change, sustainability, and tourism pressure.
5:00 PM · From supply to operations: the value of the supermarket
A session presenting the new agreement with Carrefour.
5:15 PM · Camping in prime time
The White Rabbit will share the key results regarding the camping sector's presence in the media.
The day will conclude with the traditional gala dinner, followed by a party and dancing.
From networking to the Cíes Islands
The program won't be confined to meeting rooms. On Thursday the 15th, attendees will trade presentations for the Galician landscape with a boat trip and a guided tour of the Cíes Islands.
A unique way to showcase Galicia's natural surroundings while continuing to share ideas and build professional connections. The Congress will wrap up that same evening with a farewell dinner.
Regulation, technology, operations, communication, and new solutions will all be on the table in Baiona. Above all, it will be an opportunity to share where the camping industry in Spain is heading and to connect with those who are driving that evolution.
